PRIVACYKINDRA AI PTY LTD · ABN 38 697 207 917
Privacy, in plain English.
This site is run by Kindra AI Pty Ltd (trading as Kindra Hire), Brisbane, Queensland. Here's what we collect, why, who helps us, how we measure our ads, and how to say no.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we receive what you type or tick: your name, business, email, optional mobile, the jobs you'd like help with, your industry, how much you'd like to hand over and how soon. Some of our pages also ask for your best time to meet.
Where you came from. With your enquiry we also keep the page you sent it from, the page you first landed on, the site that sent you (if your browser shares it), any campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example, which ad, post or email it was) and any ad click code that Google or Meta added to that link. This is how we know which ads and posts bring enquiries.
Technical details. When you send a form, our server sees your IP address and browser details. We use them to block spam and stop repeated sends.
Meetings. When we set up a meeting with you, we send a calendar invitation with your name and email.
Just browsing? You don't have to tell us who you are to read this site. To reply to an enquiry we need at least a name and an email.
Why
To reply to you, set up the meeting, prepare a scope and, if you become a client, deliver the service. To see which of our ads and posts work, so we spend less on the ones that don't. And to keep the site safe.
How we measure the site (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site: which pages are viewed, for how long, on what kind of device, roughly where from (city level), how people arrived, and whether an enquiry was sent. It uses cookies to tell one visit from the next. We don't send your name, email, phone number or the words of your enquiry to Google Analytics.
How we measure our ads (Meta pixel and Google Ads)
Some pages use the Meta pixel (Meta runs Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads conversion tracking. These tell us when someone who saw or clicked one of our ads visits the site and sends an enquiry, so we can tell which ads work. They use cookies and similar technology.
When an enquiry is sent, the page tells Meta and Google that an enquiry happened, with a random reference number, the topic of the page and the page address. It doesn't pass on your name, email, phone number or message.
Our server can also confirm an enquiry to Meta directly. If it does, it sends your email address and phone number in hashed form (scrambled into a code before it leaves us, so the details themselves aren't sent), plus your IP address, browser type and Meta's click codes. Meta uses this to match the enquiry to an ad. We never send your message.
Meta and Google may link this information to an account you have with them, use it to show you our ads later (this is known as remarketing), and use it under their own terms. Their policies: Meta privacy policy and Google privacy policy. How Google uses information from sites like ours: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We never upload lists of the people who enquire to any advertising platform.
Cookies and similar technology
Google Analytics cookies tell visits apart. They can last up to two years.
Google Ads cookies link an ad click to an enquiry. They usually last about 90 days.
Meta pixel cookies link an ad view or click to an enquiry. They usually last about 90 days.
Our own note in your browser. When you arrive from a link with campaign tags, our site keeps a small note of those tags in your browser for up to 7 days, so they can go with your enquiry if you send one. It's stored in your browser, not a cookie, and you can clear it any time by clearing your site data.
Security. The network that protects and delivers this site may set a short-lived cookie to tell people from bots.
Fonts. Some pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google and shares your IP address to fetch them.
How to opt out or block it
In your browser: block third-party cookies, clear your cookies, use a private window, or use a tracker blocker. The enquiry form still works if you do.
Google Analytics: install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google ads: turn off personalised ads in My Ad Center at myadcenter.google.com.
Meta: in Facebook or Instagram, go to Settings, then Accounts Centre, then Ad preferences, and turn off ads based on activity from ad partners.
Many ad companies at once: youronlinechoices.com.au.
Ask us: email [email protected] and we'll stop confirming your enquiry to Meta and remove the campaign details from your enquiry. A human will do it.
What we don't do
We don't sell your details. We don't add you to a marketing list because you enquired. Client information is used only to deliver their service.
Who else sees it
Only the providers we need to run the business, under their own privacy terms:
Website hosting and enquiry storage: our server in Finland.
Site security and delivery: a global network provider, which handles every visit.
Email and calendar: our business email provider.
Backup email delivery: a provider in the United States, used if our main email is down.
AI staff tools: our AI staff help read enquiries and prepare replies, and the Kindra team oversees what's sent. The AI service provider we use may process information in the United States.
Measurement and ads: Google and Meta, as described above. They may process information in the United States and other countries.
No one else sees it without your say-so, unless the law requires it.
Overseas
Because of the providers above, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in:
Finland: our website hosting and enquiry storage.
The United States: backup email delivery, our AI service provider, and Google and Meta.
Other countries where Google, Meta and our network provider operate.
We choose providers that publish security and privacy commitments for the information they handle. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from Australia's.
How long we keep it and how we look after it
If you enquire but don't become a client, we keep your enquiry details for 24 months, then delete them.
If you become a client, we keep your details for as long as we need them to deliver the service, and after that for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Access is limited to the people who need it.
Your rights
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and a human will do it. We aim to reply within 30 days. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first at [email protected] and we'll look into it. If you're still not happy, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
